The office assistant will perform various routine clerical duties to support the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities

The office assistant will

  • Perform clerical duties, including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
  • Operate office machines, including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
  • Serve as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and applicants.
  • Copy, sort, and file records related to office activities, business transactions, business transactions and other matters.
  • Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
  • Sort incoming mail and deliver to appropriate individual; process outgoing mail.
  • Maintain filing systems, either manually or electronically.
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • US work authorization

Education and Experience

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Clerical experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements

The office assistant must be able to:

  • Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds at times.
